We started Green Rides to provide consumers with personal solutions for their green transportation needs. It started in 2006 when, after becoming increasingly tired of rising fuel costs and concerned about our impact on the environment, we decided to go green. As a long-time car enthusiasts, we were aware of the hybrids on the market (Prius, Civic, etc) but were curious whether other solutions were worth considering. Much to our surprise, we uncovered information about several other alternative vehicles; some electric, some hydrogen, yet others powered by other technologies. Only through diligent research did we find information on these vehicles, and it still wasn't clear if they were available, where to purchase them, and what other consumers had to say about them.

In June of 2007, we opened our first retail location in Campbell, CA. Now with 2 locations in Northern CA, our retail personnel are dedicated to introducing alternative vehicle solutions to potential owners.

After listening to excited & interested customers throughout the country, we realized the current online resources leave them confused, frustrated and unwilling to take action.

In November of 2008, we launched a re-designed GreenRides.com to help not only those in CA, but those across the country. We hope you'll find GreenRides.com to be a useful resource to help you better understand the ever growing green world and help you make the smart choice that is right for you.
